FAQ's Why do I want a protective face mask made by YOU? Because I am an OCD germaphobe stay-at-home hypochondriac shut in artist seamstress. I overdo, overthink, over worry, over speak, overwrite, and definitely over-sew. When I create a garment, rag doll, artsy quilt, wall hanging, home décor piece, or any other fabric item, I guarantee it will withstand the type of apocalyptic scene we are all living in today. Over-stitching is my jam. I’ve been training for this moment in time my whole life. I’m a natural born shelterer-in-place. You really do want ME to make YOU a mask RIGHT NOW. Humans find me annoying and can’t wait to escape my over-controlling madness. However, right now they’re calling me to action to over-design the perfect face mask, and it’s my pleasure to deliver. I’ve been in self-quarantine for years. I am Horrified Hermit (aka in anxiety forums). I have to fuss over your mask. It takes me way too long to create it, but I have to micromanage every stitch. I want to help you and your loved ones stay healthy. If I wasn’t me, I’d buy my own mask. |

What’s so special about YOUR mask?
Before finalizing my mask design, I researched the most up-to-date information available from the CDC, newscasters, public figures, physicians, and my favorite sewing institutions. I made prototypes until I was satisfied that my mask is what it needs to be out there in our temporarily (I hope) scary world.
Do you guarantee I won’t get sick while wearing YOUR mask?
No way. My masks won’t save your life. From what I’ve read, no mask will, but I understand the officially approved N95 Respirator Mask comes close. I AM NOT CREATING THOSE. I am offering the next best alternative face protection: a soft, breathable, reusable cotton cloth face mask that may provide up to 75-77% protection from virus germs. AND they're pretty!
If I wear YOUR mask, can I stop social distancing?
No. Maintain your designated 6 feet distance and don’t shake hands. Elbow bumps only until the professionals and officials advise otherwise.
What about my brand new adorable baby? Is there a mask for newborns?
The powers-that-be advise NOT TO USE face masks on children under the age of 2. I would research further to be sure.
Do you have anything to say to cheer me up after reading all this?
Yes. My fabrics are awesome and fun! Choose colors and prints that make you feel empowered and lovely, or maybe something hilarious that may invoke a smile or laugh from an onlooking human. Be comfy AND joyous while wearing your protective, life-altering face covering.

- My inner layer linings are non-woven materials that pass the water test—meaning drops of water on the surface are repelled by the material, making it difficult for super-microscopic virus particles to get through to your susceptible nose, mouth, and face.
- The linings are lightweight and hold their shape, which makes my mask more comfortable around facial curves. Originally, I installed flexible nose pieces, but because of the mask’s structured shaping, I felt the nose piece was not needed. I will add one if you request it.
- My masks are breathable. You don’t want your COVID-19 Coronavirus survival face mask to suffocate you.
- Because of my over-fearing, my masks are extremely sturdy and will NOT come apart when you need them most. The worst thing I fear could happen would be an elastic or fabric tie loosens or comes off, your mask flies off your face, and you are now exposed to invisible scary inhale-ables. In a scramble to put your mask back on even though it is now contaminated, you may place the wrong side on your skin—a big, bad mistake that, nowadays, could kill you or worse, cause you to expose a loved one to this potentially deadly illness.
- I guarantee every seam on my mask is double stitched in heavy stress areas. Ties are secure. My mask will stay on your face where it belongs until you remove it. I know my promises sound over-stated, but if you end up wearing an inferior mask and any of these events occur, it will be too late. You will be vulnerable and in trouble—trouble that could have been prevented by wearing one of MY masks.
- I offer three sizes: Adult, Teenage or Small Woman, and Child (3-6 years old). I can also alter and tweak sizes if needed.
- My masks are reusable, hand or machine washable, and easily dried in your drier for about 20 minutes. They may shrink a smidge at first, but not enough to alter the nice fit on your face.
